Tjol Se Gat
Tjol & Jacqui Herbst purchased the farm in 2014 and opened Tjol se Gat, a unique pub in Sutherland located off the beaten track in the Verlatekloof Pass, just 20km before the town of Sutherland. The building, which served as the old toll house where fees were collected from road users, remained in use until December 1907. When traveling to Sutherland, be sure to stop by Tjol se Gat for a refreshing drink and some captivating stories.
